The Sales Consultant is responsible for supporting the sales activities of licensed Life Insurance brokers within the organization. This role focuses on developing strong, trusting relationships with brokers, enhancing their marketing strategies, lead generation, networking, and overall client relationship capabilities. Additionally, the Sales Consultant will work closely with brokers to deepen their knowledge of insurance products relevant to their specialization, ensuring a client-centered approach that emphasizes long-term relationship building. 

What does the Sales Consultant  do?
  • Provide ongoing support to Life Brokers in their sales activities, fostering a collaborative environment that enhances broker performance and client satisfaction. 
  • Leverage comprehensive knowledge of life insurance products and market trends to advise brokers, helping them make informed decisions that benefit their clients. 
  • Develop and maintain trusting relationships with Life Brokers, ensuring open communication and mutual understanding to drive sales success and enhance service delivery. 
  • Instill a client-centric approach within brokers, emphasizing the importance of ongoing client relationships beyond initial sales. 
  • Collaborate with brokers to create tailored sales strategies that align with client needs and market opportunities, fostering a proactive sales culture. 
  • Monitor and analyze broker performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations to improve sales effectiveness and client engagement. 
  • Address any challenges or obstacles brokers face in their sales processes, working collaboratively with other staff and departments to offer practical solutions to enhance their operational efficiency. 
  • Work closely with other departments (e.g., marketing, compliance) to ensure cohesive support for brokers, facilitating a seamless operational experience. 
  • Establish a feedback loop with brokers to understand their needs and challenges, allowing for continuous improvement in support services. 
  • Ensure that all sales activities conducted by brokers comply with relevant regulations and organizational policies, maintaining high ethical standards. 
  • Guide brokers in implementing effective client relationship management strategies that enhance client loyalty and satisfaction. 
  • Support training sessions for brokers on product knowledge and sales techniques, contributing to their professional growth and enhancing their capabilities. 
  • Assist brokers in identifying and developing leads through effective networking strategies, aiming to increase their client base and sales volume. 
  • Organize and facilitate networking events for brokers, encouraging relationship-building with potential clients and industry partners.

  • Ability to design and deliver training programs that enhance broker skills and product knowledge. 
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and tools that facilitate effective client relationship management. 
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance standards and ability to guide brokers in adherence. 
  • Comfort with various technology platforms relevant to sales and marketing in the insurance sector. 
  • Strong ability to present information clearly and engagingly to brokers and clients. 
 

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a licensed capacity, either as a Life Broker or in a wholesaler role. 
  • Life Insurance License in the relevant jurisdiction. 
  • Proven experience in sales, client relationship management, and training or mentoring others in a professional setting.  
  • Additional relevant professional certifications are preferred.

Working Conditions 
  • Works primarily in a standard office setting with a typical climate-controlled environment. The role requires periods of sitting, computer use, and participation in meetings or collaborative sessions. Noise levels are generally low, and the position involves minimal physical exertion. 
  • The role is required to travel at times for meetings with Managing Partners, Life licensed Brokers and related industry events.
