The Digital Marketing Coordinator, under the direction of the Marketing Manager, will primarily be responsible for growing BIG’s digital presence by developing and implementing strategies through email marketing and digital advertising. Collaborating with the marketing team, the Digital Marketing Coordinator works to integrate and complement marketing strategies across multiple digital channels. Conducting ongoing testing, analysis & experimentation, the Digital Marketing Coordinator optimizes BIG’s email campaigns and digital ads to better connect with the target audience, as well as report on KPIs using their analytical skills to make recommendations.

What does the Digital Marketing Coordinator do?
  • Lead the creation, execution, and evaluation of email marketing campaigns across all business lines within Pathway.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to devise strategies for enhancing BIG’s email marketing initiatives and overall online presence.
  • Conduct continuous analysis of digital leads and online advertising efforts to extract insights and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Foster collaboration with external agency partners to design and implement new email campaigns.
  • Develop and optimize the customer journey including all prospective, nurturing, and retention touchpoints e.g. quote journey, cross-sell, win-back.
  • Manage relationships with external agency partners to design and implement Google, Instagram, and Facebook ad campaigns.
  • Generate comprehensive reports tracking BIG’s website traffic, paid ad performance, and email campaign metrics using tools like Excel, Google Analytics, and DashThis.
  • Implement testing procedures for search engine optimization (SEO), keyword effectiveness, and webpage speed utilizing Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, PageSpeed Insights, and SEMrush as needed.
  • Establish and maintain Google Business Profile accounts for new branches, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.

  • Email Marketing - Knowledge of customer journeys, email deployments, filtering contacts and creating contact lists, ensuring CASL compliancy.
  • Digital Marketing - Knowledge of digital marketing streams and techniques such as email marketing, web advertising, search engine optimization, etc.
  • Google Marketing Platform (Tag Manager, Data Studio, Analytics & Search Console) – Ability to effectively use “Google Marketing Platform” to analyze the success of marketing efforts and to better understand webpage users.
  • Digital Ads – Ability to effectively understand ad platforms to monitor performance and produce reports.
  • Google Business Profile – Ability to effectively use “Google Business Profile” to set up new BIG branch accounts and monitor information accuracy.
  • SEO Tools - Ability to successfully utilize “SEMrush” or other SEO tools to support market research.
  • Data Mining Software – Ability to effectively use data mining software, such as “Google Analytics”, to track and report on BIG traffic.
  • Marketing Data Analysis – Proficiency with excel and extracting of data sets to create meaningful reports based on email and digital ad campaigns.
  • Microsoft Office Suite – Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Booking, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, Planner, One Note & One Drive) and its tools successfully.

Qualifications
  • A university degree in a relevant field i.e. marketing, business administration, data analytics
  • 3+ years of digital marketing experience with a focus in email marketing & data analytics
  • Insurance industry experience an asset

Target Hiring Range: $52,500 - $58,500*

*Please be aware that the actual starting salary is determined by assessing related experience and qualifications. Subsequent increases will also be influenced by tenure with the company and individual performance.
