Marketing Coordinator (14-Month Contract)

Under the direction of the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Coordinator will oversee the creation, processing, and approvals, of branded material for individual Broker use through BIG Design, BIG’s internal graphic agency. They will manage a portfolio of digital assets such Facebook and Instagram ads, social media posts, branded print and digital materials, including alteration of existing and creation of new assets. They will manage individual requests as well as proactively propose new materials, working collaboratively with the other members of the marketing team.

In addition to overseeing BIG Design, the Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for managing the BIG Swag store, including coordinating current inventory, approving requests, and introducing new items, working closely with internal and external partners.

What does the Marketing Coordinator do?
  • Manage requests for custom designs from individual brokers, altering existing designs, or creating new ones upon request
  • Approve designs and materials submitted from branches/brokers for grass roots marketing programs
  • Work closely with Marketing Assistant to execute designs, oversee projects, and manage workload
  • Manage out-of-home program (billboards, bus bench signs, etc.) working on both design and booking of advertisements with internal and external partners
  • Create social media post graphic designs, working closely with the content team, following brand style guidelines
  • Introduce new items to the swag store monthly
  • Manage inventory for new broker swag kits
  • Approve requests from branches for new swag items
  • Design and approve new signage, new logos, as well as setting up social media accounts for new branches
  • Editing headshots for the BIG broker webpages
 
Does this sound like you?
  • Strong knowledge of graphic design concepts such as contrast, alignment, color, audience, space, consistency, and simplicity
  • Deep understanding of brand guidelines and adherence to style consistency
  • Applicable knowledge of marketing design, techniques, guidelines, principles and concepts
  • Working knowledge of social media trends and techniques including hashtag strategy, market analysis, brand voice, social listening tools, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects at once, adhering to tight timelines
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 2-3+ years of relevant experience as a Graphic Designer, Social Media Expert, or similar experience
  • Experience working in Insurance Industry an asset
