What does the Life & Financial Advisor do?
As a Life & Financial Advisor, you’ll be a trusted partner to your clients by helping them protect what matters most, plan for the future, and make confident financial decisions. You’ll combine your expertise in insurance and financial planning with a genuine commitment to client care, building relationships that last a lifetime.
Here’s what your day-to-day will look like:
- Understand and advise: Conduct in-depth assessments of each client’s life insurance and financial needs, recommending customized solutions that protect their family, income, and legacy.
- Deliver a seamless experience: Guide clients through the application and policy issuance process with professionalism, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and trust every step of the way.
- Build lasting relationships: Develop and nurture strong connections with individual, family, and business clients to drive long-term loyalty and retention.
- Support your clients for life: Manage renewals and policy updates proactively, making sure clients always have the right coverage at the right time.
- Drive growth: Develop and execute smart sales strategies that attract new clients, while uncovering opportunities to expand relationships with existing ones.
- Educate and empower: Help clients understand their financial options from life and health protection to broader financial planning concepts so they can make informed, confident decisions.
- Collaborate for success: Work closely with your team and other departments to ensure clients experience seamless service and consistent communication.
- Stay compliant and ethical: Uphold provincial insurance regulations, compliance standards, and organizational policies in every transaction.
- Stay ahead of the curve: Keep up to date with market trends, competitor offerings, and emerging financial solutions to better serve clients and drive innovation.

- Manage the full lifecycle of policies from onboarding and documentation to renewals and reviews with precision and care.

- Demonstrate integrity, accountability, and professionalism in everything you do.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid life insurance license (e.g., LLQP) in the province of operation
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in life insurance sales or financial services, with a proven sales and service track record
- Either a Certified Financial Planner (CFP,) Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), or Personal Financial Planner (PFP) designation
- An acceptable credit rating, demonstrating appropriate financial management skills
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant professional certifications are an asset.
